Description

A rare silver pepper or small sugar caster from the 18th Century. This fine example is of baluster form with engraved floral and foliar engraved decoration to the sides and an attractively pierced lid, ending in an acorn finial. A good collector's item, both practical and decorative.

Hallmarks :- Clear , readable and matching on lid and base.

Maker :- James Mince and William Hodgkins.

Height :- 15.5 cms. (To top of finial).
