Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The cup stands on an attractive stem with a protruding central section which is beaded around the edge. The pedestal stand engraving is matched to that of the cup and also has a protruding beaded edge around the base base rim.

This chalice is wonderfully tactile and a good weight to hold.
Very clear hallmarks are visible just below the rim of the chalice: Lion passant for sterling silver and Leopard's head for the London Assay Office and date mark for 1875. There is also a clear maker's mark: BH (this mark is unidentifiable).
Condition: This chalice is in wonderful antique condition.
Hallmarks: London 1875
