Antique Oriental Lacquered Table Lamp

1920 - 1940
Description

A very unusual lacquered table lamp. The elegant column stands on a circular base and terminates with a turned vase shaped decoration. The red and gold lacquered and painted decoration is well executed and looks striking against the black ground. The condition is good, there is a minor chip to the very top of the lamp where the shade holder is housed. This is not easy to see and does not detract from the beauty of the lamp. The lamp has been PAT tested to meet UK safety standards. A very unusual and highly decorative lamp that would be a distinctive and decorative addition to any interior.

Shade not included.
