Antique Early Victorian Sterling Silver Jug 1852 - Birds & Leaves

Description

This is a super antique early Victorian sterling silver jug hallmarked for London 1852 with the silversmiths mark for Stephen Smith & William Nicholson - it's also marked unerneath 'Smith & Nicholson, Duke St, Lin Inn Fields'.

It measures 6 1/2" (17 cms) tall to the top of the handle x 4 3/4" (12 cms) x 3 1/2" (9 cms).

It weighs 237.5 grams and is in excellent condition (any marks you can see are just reflections).

It has beautiful engraved decoration of birds around the body of the jug with an armorial crest on one side.

The handle of the jug is decorated with beautiful leaves where the handle is attached to the body.
