The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
A solid sterling salver dating from the era of King George 111.
The salver features a shaped ogee border. The centre of the salver is engraved with a crest surrounded by scrolls and flowers. It is raised on three firmly attached scroll feet. The silver is in an amazing condition given the age of the item - over 250 years old. It is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the pictures is just a reflection of the camera flash.
