Antique Solid Silver Victorian Chamber Stick 1841

19th century
Description

A delightful example of a solid sterling silver chamberstick.

Hallmarked on the side of the base for Birmingham 1841, with the maker's mark of Robinson, Edkins & Aston. There are partial hallmarks on the flower-shaped sconce and the snuffer. The maker's mark has been struck twice (once upside down) on the snuffer.

The twig-moulded handle is firmly attached to the leaf-shaped base. The flower-shaped sconce sits neatly. It is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the pictures is just a reflection of the camera flash.

Dimensions:

Silver weight: 76g

Diameter of base: 6.5cm

Height: 6cm.

Post and packaging are free within the UK via Royal Mail special delivery. Overseas buyers please e-mail for postage costs. Thank you.

Please note: payment by credit or debit card can be made by pressing the ‘pay now’ button on the item page - A PayPal account is not needed.
