Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
An elegant handle sits on the side and is attached to the hinged lid, which opens and closes perfectly and has a neat little knob on the top. When opened a lovely golden gilt interior to the inside of the lid is visible and part hallmarks of the lion passant and the date letter. The original blue glass insert sits nicely inside the pot. Hallmarks and maker's marks are visible near to the pot handle (see photo 7 the lion passant is worn): Chester 1903 by the renowned maker Nathan & Hayes.

Condition:
This mustard pot is in great antique condition. The decoration to the silver is in fabulous condition. The hinge opens and closes well and the blue glass insert is not chipped.
