Pair of Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Shell Dishes & Knives in Case - Goldsmiths 1891

Description

This is a super pair of antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver shell style butter dishes with knives in their original presentation case.

The dishes each measure 4 3/4" (12 cms) long x 4" (10 cms) across and the knives are 5" (13 cms) long.

The items weigh 185.5 grams the lot and everything is in excellent condition.

All items have matching hallmarks for Sheffield 1891 and the silversmiths mark for William Gibson & John Langman of the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company - the inside of the case is also marked 'Prize Medals Manufacturing Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112, Regent St'.
