Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
Clear hallmarks and maker's marks are visible on the side of the egg cup: Birmingham 1910 by the renowned silversmiths: Adie Brothers.

The matching spoon is also a lovely polised silver with no engravings. The same hallmarks and maker's marks are also visible on the back of the spoon handle.
This set is encased in the original box, made from a wood effect brown leatherette exterior with a nice brass coloured fastener. The interior of the box is embellished with a pale cream satin to the inside lid, with the jeweller's name printed upon it: Jay's 56 Kings Road, Brighton. The egg cup and spoon sit on a nice cream coloured velvet base.

Condition: Both the egg cup and the spoon are in great used condition, with no tarnishing to the silver. The box is also in great used condition. Both the exterior and the interior are nice and clean only a few marks and scratches.
