Dutch Silver Embossed Trinket Box 'Pastoral Scene' Amsterdam 1926

A very finely embossed Dutch silver trinket box. This box has a lovely almost circular shape. The embossed pastoral scene, showing a group of men conducting their daily business is quite exquisite and shows off the immense ability of the silversmith who produced it. Each side of the box show four different scenes with a similar theme. The hinged lid opens the box and it closes with a nice firm click. It sits on four attractive 'paw' feet.

Dutch hallmarks are clearly visible on the base of the box: Amsterdam 1926 and the Lion 2 mark is on the back near the hinge indicating 833 grade silver ZZ for Zaanlandse Zilversmederij.

Condition: This box is in great antique condition. It is not misshappen and the embossed silver work scenes are clear and crisp.
