London 1947 Solid Silver Lipstick Holder or Case Made by M. Wachenheimer and Co. Of London.

Description

London 1947 English hallmarked solid silver full sized lipstick holder or case made by M. Wachenheimer and Co., makers of many personal silver items for women during the 1930's and 40's.

Iconic in style, it is fluted all around and has a plain silver top and base. The thumb slide is rose gold gilt on the top surface, lending a very stylish feel to the case.

When the top is removed the slide pushes the lipstick up the tube for use.

Size-2.25 inches long, by 5/8 diameter.

Weight-30 grams.

A lovely lipstick holder in very good condition.

This would make a very nice personal gift for any woman for an occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or wedding. As it will be 70 years old in 2017, an excellent birthday gift for an important birthday.
