Description

Edinburgh 1805 (one is 1786) set of 6 Georgian Scottish hallmarked solid silver large table sized berry spoons, all made by William Marshall.

These are wonderful quality large serving spoons, and beautifully decorated on both sides. The shaped bowls are decorated with raised repousse very crisp pineapples, melons, grapes and other fruit, while the stems are profusely engraved with various styles of foliate decoration, on both sides. A stylised monogram, appears on the cartouche of one side.

It is unusual to find a set of six of these spoons, and Scottish silver is also most collectable.

Size-8.75 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide.

Weight-390 grams.

A lovely set in very good condition, made in much sought after Scottish silver, with excellent gauge and weight. They are both beautiful and functional for serving food, and will be a focal point of the dining table.

Edinburgh 1805 (one is 1786) set of 6 Georgian Scottish hallmarked solid silver large table sized berry spoons, all made by William Marshall.
