Robert Bush Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
They measure just under 10” (25 cm) across and are in lovely original condition.

They were made by William Eley and they are numbered on the reverse from No 53 to No 69 so presumably at one time they were part of a much larger set which would have been originally used as a banqueting set.

They are also marked with the original weight in troy oz. as would be the custom at the time.
They are a shaped pattern with bold gadrooned border and have the original gilding.
These plates are completely original and we have simply given them a minor clean and polish.
Each plate is engraved with a bull above a ducal coronet and the motto ‘Un Dieu Un Roi’ - One God One King.
