Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Beaker - 1908 - Princess Charlotte of Wales

Description

This is an antique Edwardian sterling silver beaker/cup measuring 4 1/4” (11 cms) tall x 3 1/4" (8 cms) across the top.

It's hallmarked for London 1908 with the silversmiths mark for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company and is also marked on the base 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., 112, Regent St'.

On the front it is engraved with the emblem for the Princess Charlotte of Wales regiment showing the motto 'Vestigia Nulla Retrorsum' which is Latin for ' We Do Not Retreat'.

The other side is engraved 'Presented by Lieut. E. Akers Jones'.

It's a lovely beaker weighing 229.6 grams and in excellent condition.
