Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The back is equally attractive with swirls and flora. The central lid is hinged and opens to reveal a mirror on the inside and a lovely lemony coloured gilt to the inside base, and there is a good sized loop for hanging on a chain. Clear hallmarks and maker's marks are visible on the inside base: Birmingham 1919 by Adie & Lovekin.

Condition: This compact is in excellent used condition - no dents to the silver. The hinge works perfectly and closes well. The interior mirror is clear with no marks to the glass.
