Silver Oval Compact Pendant Birmingham 1919 Adie & Lovekin

A truly stunning and unusual solid silver compact. Oval in shape, the compact is beautifully engraved with a swallow bird in flight and a delightful pattern around the edges. The back is equally attractive with swirls and flora. The central lid is hinged and opens to reveal a mirror on the inside and a lovely lemony coloured gilt to the inside base, and there is a good sized loop for hanging on a chain. Clear hallmarks and maker's marks are visible on the inside base: Birmingham 1919 by Adie & Lovekin.

Condition: This compact is in excellent used condition - no dents to the silver. The hinge works perfectly and closes well. The interior mirror is clear with no marks to the glass.
