Large Antique Georgian Sterling Silver 12" Basket 1822 - 1019g

Description

This is a stunning antique Georgian sterling silver dish/basket measuring 12 1/2" (32 cms) across x 10 1/4" (26 cms) x 3" (8 cms) high to the rim and 9" (23 cms) high to the top of the handle when it's up.

It weighs 1019 grams which gives you some idea of the quality and is hallmarked for Sheffield 1822 with the silversmiths mark for Robert Gainsford.

The whole item has gorgeous bold decoration with lovely piercing work and it would be a fabulous bread or fruit basket.

There are no monograms or inscriptions and it's in excellent condition with no damage.
