Edwardian Silver Inkwell by Horace Woodward

1900 - 1920
Description

This is an Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver and hand blown glass inkwell. It was assayed in London in 1906/7 and made by Horace Woodward & Co Ltd.

It is the type of inkwell that was designed to fit in a writing box or similar item. The silver lid has a gadrooned border.

The lid has a shallow dent and general surface marks. I have noticed small nibbles to the glass on the shoulders.

It weighs 265g.
