Description

Admittedly, this is one you either love or loath – and we absolutely love it! The unusually shaped natural (saltwater) pearl has been creatively formed into a jester’s head. His skullcap is set with fourteen cut diamonds in silver. Blue sapphire eyes gleam above the strong “nose” while a cabochon coral tongue cheekily pokes from the gold lips. A further twelve diamonds are set in the ruff collar. Utterly inspired!

Comes with either 16? or 18? gold chain – please specify which you would prefer with your order.

Accompanied by a Pearl Report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the pear is natural (saltwater).

Cut – Rose cut diamonds, cabochon coral and cabochon sapphires.

Colour – The diamonds are H to I.

Clarity – The diamonds are SI1.

Circa – 1850. The chain in new.

Measurements – Approximately 15.5 x 13.9 x 9.3mm

Metal – 18k yellow gold with the diamonds are in silver; tested. The chain will be hallmarked.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
