This is a super antique sterling silver hallmarked purse measuring 4 1/4'' (11 cm) x 2'' (5 cm) and hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 with the silversmiths mark for Henry Matthews - there is some rubbing to one of the hallmarks (see photos).
The silver is in very good condition with no damage and the purse has a typical Art Nouveau style ladies head on one side.
The inside is lined in a green material all in very good condition and it weighs 117.8 grams.
