Victorian Sterling Silver Double Inkstand with Candlestick 1857

Description

This is a beautiful antique early Victorian hallmarked sterling silver inkstand with two blue glass & silver inkwells and a candlestick in the centre.

It measures 9" (23 cms) across x 5 1/2" (14 cms) x 5" (12.5 cms) high to the top of candlesetick.

Both the stand and inkwells are in excellent condition with no damage - the stand is hallmarked for London 1857 and the inkwells are Sheffield 1857 and all items show the makers mark for Henry Wilkinson & Co.

The stand has lovely decoration with no inscriptions or monograms.

The inkwells are blue glass with hallmarked silver tops and the candle holder is removable for ease of use.

The stand without the glass inkwells weighs 311 grams.
