Pretty Silver Plated Grape Scissors C. 1920

Description

A very pretty pair of silver plated grape scissors with ‘swags and bows’ decoration. The maker’s mark of Allen & Darwin is visible on the back. Allen & Darwin worked in Sheffield, UK from 1879 to 1922, so these scissors can be dated to late Victorian or Edwardian.

 

Condition (see photos):

These grape scissors are in excellent used condition.

 

Measurements:

Length: 16cm approx.

Width at widest point: 5.3cm approx.

Weight: 91g approx.
