Description

Beautifully-stylish, silver and tortoiseshell circular trinket box sitting on three elegant feet. The hinged lid is made from tortoiseshell, surrounded by silver with a silver circle in the centre. The interior of the box still retains the original peach satin pad. The base is leather. Clear hallmarks are visible on the rim of the silver base: Birmingham 1913, along with the maker’s mark: Levi & Salaman.

This box is in excellent used condition for the age. The quality of the tortoiseshell is very good and retains the semi-transparent mottled brown colour. The hinge works well and the box closes perfectly.
