Pr Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Novelty Baby Cradle Salts - 1881

Description

This is an absolutely superb pair of antique Victorian sterling silver salts in the style of baby cradles/cribs in a woven basket style each measuring 2 1/4" (6 cms) across x 2" (5 cms) high.

Both items are in superb condition and weigh 86.8 grams the pair.

They have super detail and are in excellent condition and still retain the original gilding.

They've got matching hallmarks for London 1881 with the silversmiths mark for Edward H Stockwell who is known for his top quality novelty salts and peppers.

Very unusual to find such a lovely pair with such an early hallmark.
