Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Mustard 1789

Description

This is a super antique Georgian hallmarked solid sterling silver mustard pot in oval form complete with glass liner and spoon.

It measures 2 1/2" (6 cms) high x 4" (10 cms) across including the handle and is hallmarked for London 1789 with the silversmiths mark for Henry Chawner.

The pot alone weighs 141 grams and comes with a spoon which only shows part of the hallmark as it is rubbed.

The pot itself still retains the original gilding inside and is in excellent condition with a family crest on the side of a man blowing a horn and the motto 'Blow Shrill' - I believe this is the motto for the Mercier family.

Super pot in great condition.
