Antique Victorian Sterling Silver 12" Swing Handle Basket - 1896

Description

This is a beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver dish/basket measuring 12" (30 cms) across x 8" (20 cms) x 3 1/4" (8 cms) high to the rim and 9" (23 cms) high to the top of the handle when it's up.

It weighs 486 grams and is hallmarked for Sheffield 1896 with the silversmiths mark for George Howson.

It has a fluted base, a pierced rim and the handle swings freely.

There are no monograms or inscriptions and it's in excellent condition with no damage .
