Solid Silver Edwardian 'Wish Bone' Toast Rack

Description

A very pretty example of a novelty Edwardian solid sterling silver toast rack.

The hallmarks are clear for Birmingham 1904, with the maker's mark of William Hutton & Sons Ltd.

The toast rack is raised on four ball feet, which stand evenly on the surface. The seven bars are styled as wish bones and are firmly attached to the base.

The silver is in good condition. It is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the pictures is just a reflection of the camera flash.

Base 8.5cm x 5cm

Height: 8cm.
