Description

A delightful Victorian, heart shaped, silver dish standing on a pedestal. Both the sides and the pedestal have excellent pierced, chased and repousse work depicting a floral design with swags and bows. It carries hallmarks for London 1892 with the maker's mark for William Comyns & Sons.

Weight: 41.8 grams approx.

Height: 3.4 cms approx.

Width: 8 cms approx.

Depth: 8.8 cms approx.

CONDITION (see photos):

In good condition commensurate with age. There are very slight tarnishing spots and superficial scratching / cleaning marks to the heart shaped base of the dish. The hallmarks are good and clear, the maker's mark slightly rubbed but still completely legible.
