A Rare Mid Victorian Silver Thimble Holder and Thimble.

A gorgeous novelty silver thimble holder and pincushion from the mid Victorian era. This lovely and unusual example is in the form of a bucket with swing handle. The body is lined for use as a pincushion and included here is a hallmarked replacement silver thimble. A wonderful collector's item of sewing ware.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, splits or losses. The replacement thimble has a hole, but is included here as an addition to demonstrate the use of the holder.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Full set to body and part set to handle. The thimble is also hallmarked.
