18th Century Antique Rush Light.

This is a lovely piece of primitive, English country antique lighting. Made in iron which is well patinated, the rush light's nip holders work / hinge well with a scrolled and shaped final balance arm. This Georgian antique rush light stands firmly in a beautiful, shaped treen base which is a super colour, the stand is later, probably early 19th century but it looks well together.
