19th Century Pair of Bronzed and Gilt Candlesticks in the Egyptian Style

1900 - 1920
Description

A late 19th century pair of bronzed and gilt candlesticks of unusual form, in the Egyptian style, possibly French.

The sconces consist of leaf decoration supported by gun barrel shaped stems.

These lead down to roundals depicting Egyptian motifs & anthemion decoration & scroll work,

please see photograph 6 as one scroll is missing.

These are supported by tri-form bases with three finely formed birds legs on each candlestick.

The pair of candlesticks are in good condition for age and are nice decorative items.
