Antique Sterling Silver Pin Cushion - 1920 - Gent in a Hat!

Description

This is an unusual pin cushion in the style of happy looking gent wearing a hat in solid sterling silver!

He's hallmarked for Birmingham 1920 and made by the silversmiths Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd who worked in Bartlett’s Place in London and were renowned for making good quality unusual smaller items.

The silver head is in super condition with no damage.

The actual pin cushion is covered in a material that is a bit frayed and worn and the material covers a cork base which is fine and underneath there is the original leather covered wood base.

It measures 4” (10 cms) high overall x 3” (8 cms) across the base.
