Antique Victorian Solid Silver Bread Basket 1900

19th century
Description

A classic oval-shaped solid sterling silver bread or cake basket, dating from the very end of Queen Victoria's reign.

Sharp hallmarks on the side for London 1900, with the maker's mark of Alfred James How. The basket has a wonderful pie crust edging and a simple cut out design to the body.

Dimensions:

Maximum Length: 28.5cm

Maximum Width: 14.7cm

Maximum Height: 7.5cm

Silver Weight: 373g.
