Unusual Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Half Round Box 1767

Description

This is a beautiful and very unusual antique silver box in half-round shape weighing 87 grams with a lid that spins round to open.

It measures 3 1/4” (8 cms) across and 3/4” (2 cms) high and is hallmarked for London 1767 with the maker’s WC for William Cripps.

On the top is a country scene with animals and various figures and a couple holding hands so it could well be a marriage box.

The condition is excellent with no damage and no restoration, and the lid, which is also part hallmarked, spins freely.

Please note that worldwide shipping is free and all parcels are sent via fully insured signed for/tracked delivery.
