The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Christopher Dresser worked with Hukin & Heath for a period of time.

The label is also clearly hallmarked on the reverse for London 1904, with the maker's mark of J & J Maxfield Ltd.
The noggin features the classic star burst design to the glass bottom. Both the silver and glass are in excellent condition. The silver is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the pictures is just a reflection of the camera flash.
