Pretty Antique Solid Silver Tea Strainer 1906

1900 - 1920
Description

A very pretty solid sterling silver tea strainer, by the renowned silversmiths, Levi & Salaman.

The strainer is hallmarked on the reverse of the handle for Birmingham 1906.

The handle is decorated with ribbons and bows, and the bowl has a gadrooned edge. The inside of the bowl has a light gilt finish. Any appearance of gilding on the rest of the strainer is simply the reflection of the camera flash. The silver is in excellent condition.
