Antique Solid Silver Georgian Pounce Pot 1821

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a wonderfully decorated George IV solid sterling silver pounce pot.

The hallmarks on the side are slightly rubbed, but still discernible for London 1821, with the maker''s mark possibly that of Thomas Johnson. The marks are clear inside the lid.

The gilding inside is in excellent condition and the floral decoration around the base and pedestal stand wonderfully crisp. The lid fits tightly.
