Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Trophy Cup 1885 - Cottesmore Hounds

Description

This is a super quality Victorian sterling silver 2 handled trophy cup measuring 8” (20 cms) across including the handles x 4 3/4" (12 cms) deep and 6” (15 cms) high to the rim and in excellent condition.

It is engraved 'Cottesmore Hounds 1885, 1st Prize 'Founder' Walked by John Palmer, Presented by W. Baird' - Mr William Baird was master of the Cottesmore from 1880 - 1900.

The trophy is hallmarked for London 1885 with the silversmiths mark for William Henry Jackson and has the retailers mark on the base for 'Thomas, 155, New Bond St'.
