A Superb Victorian Silver Mounted Leather Wallet.

This wonderful Victorian leather wallet and stamp case is mounted with silver corners and opens via a superb silver hinge. It dates from the Victorian era and bears the marks of George Henry James who specialised in gentlemen's items such as card cases, cigar cases, vestas. The beautiful brown leather is complemented by ornate silver corners and matching sprung hinge.

The interior is brown kid and has compartments for cash, cards and stamps. The opposite side has twin corners, perhaps for a photograph. A superior example of Victorian work, still usable today.
