Art Deco 3.25 Carat Tsavorite & Old Cut Diamond Ring, Circa 1925

1900 - 1920
Description

We discovered this wonderful Art Deco mount bereft of a centre stone. After much deliberation, we plumped for gemstone we adore but – as antique dealers – almost never see: tsavorite, first discovered in the late 1960s. The stone is rubover set in within a phenomenally intricate and beautifully detailed vented gallery. Fifteen eight-cut and rose cut diamonds surround the stone, with a further six (three either side) in the shoulders. The best of two ages, in one ring.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report.

Cut – Oval shaped mixed cut tsavorite and old eight-cut and rose cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G to I.

Clarity – The tsavorite is SI. The diamonds range from SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The tsavorite is a known 3.25 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.48 carat.

Circa – The mount is circa 1925.

Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The tsavorite is approximately 10.5mm by 8.75mm and sits 5.4mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum. Stamped 10% iridium 90% platinum.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
