A Poignant Travelling Silver Sweetheart Photo Frame from the First World War.

A poignant keepsake from the first Year of the Great War. This is a travelling silver photo frame in hallmarked silver. The case has engine turned decoration and a vacant cartouche. The interior slides out and reveals a folding frame to contain four photographs. To the top is an attaching ring for a fob chain.Probably used for a Gentleman to take to War, as a reminder of the loved ones left behind. Hallmarked in 1914, this is a rare and collectable piece.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, losses or breaks.There are a couple of age related minor blemishes to the reverse of the case.
