The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Clearly hallmarked on the inside of the lid for London 1903, with the maker's mark of Cornelius Joshua Vander and the retailer's mark for the high end Gentleman's retailer Rowlands & Frazer, 116 Regent Street London.
It is in the shape of a hunting hip flask with a tapered body and the round bayonet style cap.
