Early 20th Century Italian Solid Silver Lipstick Compact with Mirror and Sapphire Clasp.

Description

Early 20th century Italian .800 marked solid silver standard sized and elegant lipstick compact with mirror and pretty and clever collet set sapphire clasp.The top and sapphire slide away from the body which releases a spring hinged mirror. The clasp then slides up the tube to raise the lipstick for application. The attached mirror aids in that process.

The exterior of the case is fully engraved with foliate and geometric engraving on all sides.

Weight-55 grams.

Size- 2 3/8 inches long by .75 inches side on all sides.

This is a lovely and unusual lipstick compact which is in very good condition.

This would make an excellent gift, or a nice treat for yourself.
