An Extremely Rare R E Stone Silver George V Silver Jubilee Dish.

Robert Edgar Stone was born in 1903 and died 1990. Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. He produced a number of quality items commemorating George V's Silver Jubilee in 1935 including caddy spoons, book marks, letter openers and 2 handled bowls. These all featured cast crowns as handles or terminals. He then adapted these designs for the Coronations of Edward VIII in 1936 and George VI in 1937. Asprey & Co. retailed many of these.

This extremely rare example is a twin handled dish with a stunning emerald green glass liner. A superb and rare collector's item.
