This is a lovely ornate sterling solid silver buckle, which was made by silversmith William Aitken. It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1901, with a full hallmark on one side and a partial one on the other.
It has a pretty, bright cut, intricate design to the front and is plain on the back. The two sides clasp together securely.
