Unusual Antique Solid Silver Victorian Pepper 1887

This lovely solid sterling silver pepper is wonderfully decorated with shells and foliage.
 
It stands on four shell feet, each one sitting within a depression on the main body of the pepper.
 
The hallmarks are clear on the side for London 1887, with the maker''s mark of William Hutton & Sons (Edward Hutton). There are also partial hallmarks on the lid, which fits tightly.
