The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
They have a gadrooned edge topped with a shell thumb piece. The scroll handles are secure and the hinges are tight. The mustards stand on lion masks on scroll and paw feet.
Both the silver and the liners are in excellent condition. The mustards are not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the photographs is simply a reflection of the camera flash.
The spoons are older - hallmarked for London 1869 with the maker's mark of Charles Boyton. They are engraved with an 'H'. One has had more use that the other, with a small dent to the bowl, resulting in a slightly uneven edge.
