Set of 3 Early Scottish Silver Serving Spoons. 1765

Description

Good set of three early George III Scottish Sterling silver serving spoons. These are early design spoons with folded seamed handles and turned up ends. They bear the hallmarks for EDINBURGH with a date of either 1763 or 1765 it is hard to tell for sure. They also bear the makers initials of AZ which is for ALEXANDER ZEIGLER who was a prolific early Scottish spoon maker.

The interesting thing about these spoons is they are nearly 40 years earlier than other recorded spoons by this maker.
