An Extremely Rare Set of 18th Century Silver Dessert Forks.

With so much antique flatware scrapped and melted, a surviving set of six dessert forks in Old English pattern is a rare find nowadays. These are a fine matching set of six from the late 18th Century. Dessert forks are always in great demand, made in smaller numbers and rarely surviving intact.They have no monograms or crests.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits and the tines are in good condition, with slight rounding to the tips commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Matching, clear and readable. Some losses to the Maker's mark.

Maker :- Thomas Northcote & George Bourne.

Length :- 17 cms.

Date :- London 1794.
