VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER VESTA CASE WITH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIER’S CREST,BIRMINGHAM 1890.

A very fine, solid silver, Vesta case, hallmarked Birmingham 1890. The case bears the crest of the Northumberland Fuslier’s Crest, 5th Regiment of Foot. The engraving of the crest is George and the Dragon with the latin ‘Quo fata vocant’ which translates to ‘Whither the fates call’. Clear hallmarks can be seen on the inside of the case just under the lid. The lid itself clicks together firmly.
