Antique French Silver Urn Style Caddy - Edmond Tetard, Paris

Description

This is a superb late 19th Century floral decorated French silver caddy with removable lid measuring 7” (18 cms) tall and 8” (20 cms) across to the widest point.

It has two very decorative handles and stands on four floral embellished legs with a blank cartouche on either side.

The beautifully shaped lid has a finial of a cherub holding a bunch of grapes.

It is super quality and weighs 631 grams and has the French Minerva hallmark on both the lid and the base, and on the base is the maker’s mark for Edmond Tetard who worked at 4 Rue Beranger Paris from 1880 to 1903.

It's a beautiful caddy in excellent condition.
